We are a group of artists who get together to paint, to have workshops, and to host art exhibitions each year to share our work with the community. We are located in the heart of Maple Ridge, at the ACT Arts Centre and Theatre. Most of our activities take place on the third floor at the ACT. Our exhibitions take place in a variety of locations.
The Garibaldi Art Club of Maple Ridge has been in existence since 1959. We have been displaying original artwork in our community ever since. We provide our members with opportunities to learn, to grow as artists, to share their work with the community, and, most importantly, a chance to meet other artists and make lifelong friends.
Our members range from beginners to professional artists. Artists of all skill levels are welcome and find that involvement in our club inspires them and enhances their skills and creativity.
Our activities are varied and provide something for everyone:
• monthly business meetings
• get-togethers to paint several times per month
• interesting workshops to learn new techniques and skills
• opportunities to show their work at juried and non-juried events
• club dinners to socialize with other members
• plein-air painting excursions in the summer
• participating in the occasional Farmers’ Market
and many other interesting events.
The Fall Show is an all-members show where all our members are invited to display their work. Visitors will see new original paintings in all genres and media as well as pottery & ceramics and art cards.
Next Show: November 13, 14 and 15, 2020

In addition to learning from each other at painting sessions, or from taking workshops, our members learn much about organization and the running of the club. By volunteering to help with our various functions, members become well versed in all aspects of putting on exhibitions and running a successful club.
If you are an artist, or a 'want-to-be' artist, drop in to our art sessions and paint with us, or come by our monthly meeting to ask about joining the club. You will be very welcome.
To join, come to one of our meetings where you can meet us and obtain all the information you need, or email us to find out when and where the next meeting is.
