Creating Compelling Light
Over my decades of teaching, I have observed that is an area of immense challenge to students to successfully be able to communicate with paint the illusion of light on a canvas. After all, we don't have “light” to work with; we have paints and canvas; therefore, we have to learn to interpret and arrive at all of the correct colour, temperature and tonal relationships in order to create the illusion of light.
In this workshop, we will start with learning how to see value you and colour relationships with great accuracy, and translate them into paint through a series of exercises that will include accurate colour mixing.
INSTRUCTOR: Gaye Adams
WHEN: October 16, 9:30am-4pm
WHERE: Albion Community Centre
FEE: $75 per person
For more information, contact Kathy Nay (kathynay@hotmail.com)
