Art Journaling Workshop

Workshop Description
Back by popular demand! Join Linda Nelson for a relaxing and inspiring art journaling workshop designed to spark creativity and encourage personal expression. Art journaling blends writing, drawing, and mixed media into a playful, low-pressure practice that supports reflection, experimentation, and creative flow.
This session is perfect as a creative warm-up, a space to try new techniques, or a way to keep a meaningful visual record. Linda will share sample journals, easy writing prompts, and simple, accessible activities to help you create unique and expressive pages. Whether your style is intuitive, reflective, or purely playful, you’ll find plenty of inspiration.

​No previous experience is needed—this workshop is open to all skill levels. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to explore.
Supplies to bring:
  • An unlined notebook or journal (choose paper suitable for your preferred medium)
  • Pens, coloured pencils, or markers
  • Scissors and white or good-quality glue
  • Favourite images (photos, calendar pictures, sketches, printed words)
  • scrapbooking supplies, accents, or embellishments
Optional Tip: If you plan to paint, use a journal with heavyweight paper or plan to glue painted samples onto your pages.

Registration:
Workshop registration is open to Garibaldi Art Club members first, through the end of January. This priority access is one of the benefits of membership, and workshops often fill quickly. Members are encouraged to register early. Registration for non-members will open on February 1, as space permits.

Pricing:
Early Bird Fee: $25 (payment due by January 31, 2025)
Regular Fee (February 1 to 8): $30
